Tasmania Police Cocktail Reception

Tasmanian Police Social featuring Opera Australia performer Clifford Plumpton.

Opera Australia’s Clifford Plumpton recently starred at a Cocktail Reception for the Tasmania Police Charity Trust. Together with talented pianist, Ian Williams of Exit Left Productions, they performed a varied program from Broadway favourites to popular opera; enthralling the audience. Present on the evening were Board members including Senator Stephen Parry, and Deputy Commissioner Scott Tilyard.

Also in the audience were many civic and community leaders including the Hon Vanessa Goodwin MLC, Mrs Adriana Taylor MLC, plus Clifford’s friends and family. Prof Simon Foote represented the Menzies Research Institute; this year’s beneficiary of the Annual Charity Trust Bike Ride who are set to receive $30,000 from the event.

The Charity Trust raises funds through Tasmania Police personnel payroll deductions and from holding innovative events throughout the year. The Charity Trust has disbursed close to $400,000 since its inception in 2006 with all funds assisting members of the Tasmanian community.
